A haven for golf?  

A review of golf courses within easy reach of Iznajar

Iznajar is well positioned for a number of the inland golf courses which are within striking distance of the Costa del Sol … and vice versa.  The nearest is Antequera, about 25 minutes away, although there are two or three new courses currently being constructed in local towns which will be slightly closer than the course at Antequera when they are completed.  Courses at Granada and Cordoba are also less than an hour away which can be the time it takes you to travel 15 Km to one of the courses on the Costa del Sol due to the traffic … traffic jams around the Iznajar area are virtually unheard of.

Costa del Golf is really a nickname for the Costa del Sol where there is the highest density of golf courses per square metre in Europe.  However, the courses at the western end of the Costa del Sol, including Valderrama, Sotogrande and San Roque, have become the quality courses most associated with the nickname.

We have been privileged enough to play both Valderrama and San Roque both of which more than live up to their reputation..
